Meet Dr. Stephen Park and Dr. Brian Park - Your Local Silver Spring, MD, Dentists!

Dr. Stephen Park

Originally from Massachusetts, Dr. Park grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland.  He received his doctor of dental surgery degree at the University of Maryland Dental School in Baltimore where he earned membership in multiple dental honor societies.

Upon graduation, he was selected into the U.S. Navy Dental Corps where he received additional advanced training at the Philadelphia Naval Hospital. Dr. Park continued to treat patients at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, during his reserve duty until he retired as a naval commander.

He has now been in practice in the downtown Silver Spring area for more than 20 years. Dr. Park has been recognized as one of Montgomery County's Top Dentists by the Washington Consumer’s Check Book and one of America’s Top Dentists by the Consumer’s Research Council of America.

Dr. Park is a member of the American Dental Association, Maryland State Dental Association, Southern Maryland Dental Society and Chinese Dental Study Club.  He has participated in hundreds of hours of continuing education to master the latest dental techniques.

His involvement in the community includes volunteering for handicapped patients and a women’s homeless shelter in the local area. Dr. Park is married with two children.  His eldest son is a physician at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland while his other son also graduated from the University of Maryland Dental School and has joined our practice. Dr. Park enjoys spending time with his family and traveling. He has a passion for animals, gardening, and marine wildlife.  Dr. Park is an avid sports fan and is a competitive tennis player.

Dr. Brian Park

Dr. Park is a Maryland native and grew up in Montgomery County. He graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park, summa cum laude. He received his DDS degree from the University of Maryland Dental School in Baltimore with several honors, notably as a member of the Ferdinand J.S. Gorgas Odontological Honor Society.

Following dental school, he completed a rigorous one year residency program at New York Medical College in Manhattan, where he gained advanced training in surgical and cosmetic dentistry. He then worked in private practice in New York City, seeing a diverse collection of patients with needs ranging from elective cosmetics to essential dental care. He is excited to be practicing in Maryland and takes great pride in treating the community that he grew up in.

Dr. Park has been recognized as one of America’s Top Dentists by the Consumer’s Research Council of America. Dr. Park is a member of the American Dental Association, Maryland State Dental Association, and Southern Maryland Dental Society.

In addition to practicing quality dentistry, Dr. Park takes great care in making sure that every patient has a comfortable and accommodating experience in the dental chair.  He feels it is important to take each patient's personal concerns into account while recommending an individualized, comprehensive treatment plan. He strives to make sure that patients can be at ease with any apprehension or fears that they may have with going to the dentist.

Dr. Park also speaks Spanish and is well versed in practicing dentistry in the language. In his free time, he enjoys traveling and sports. He is a big fan of the Redskins, Wizards, and Orioles and played tennis and basketball at a competitive level. Dr. Park also enjoys music and going to concerts.
